Darcy's Equine Assisted Learning Centre
Bridging the gap between Education and Social Care, Darcy's Equine Assisted Learning Centre is an innovative, not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) located in South Lanarkshire, just 9 miles from Glasgow and set in 20 acres of open countryside.
Darcy's opened its gates in 2017 offering a unique horse based intervention as a response to the youth mental health crisis.
Recently awarded Winner - VASLan Organisation Of The Year 2019, and the VASIan Education Project of the Year 2018, Darcy's is the first and only approved Equine Assisted Qualifications (EAQ) Centre in Scotland, offering national qualifications by the Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA) and Open Network College London (ONCL).
"The pupils could catch their breath, take stock and gradually realise that they can achieve. It gave them a taste of success."
